Dear Jerry:

I have completed your research hours for this period. Enclosed you will find a new set of pedigree charts. The research this period has been at Linesberg parish. I have tried approaching some of the research from a different angle, and have located some information I was previously unable to locate. Specifically, I have gone through the marriage records for several years, checking for the place of residence and the names of the parents of the bride and groom. For a good period of time the marriage records give the names of the parents, and by checking this information I have located some new children and the names of several of the wives, who were previously unknown.

The first family group sheet is from pedigree chart #7. Anders Hansson and Anna Larsdotter (family #93) are your 8th great grandparents. They were married in 1701 and were the parents of eight children.

On the next generation back, Anders Hansson was born about 1673, the son of Hans Andersson and Elisabet Andersdotter of Hammaren (family #286). It appears that they had at least five children. Birth/chr records are missing for part of this period, so it is hard to tell for sure. I also located record of a brother, Joen Andersson, of Hammaren (family #273). Some of the children of Hans Andersson were married as follows:

Margreta Hansdotter was the second wife of Lars Christophersson (family #287). Lars Christophersson is your 9th great grandfather through his first marriage to Karin Andersdotter (family #306). Anna Larsdotter, wife of Anders Hansson, was the daughter of Lars Christophersson from this first marriage. It appears that Lars Christophersson was the son of Christopher Larsson and Karin Ersdotter (family #298).

Peder Hansson was married in 1698 to Margareta Ohlsdotter of Biorcka (family #290). They were the parents of eight children. I still need to check for deaths on many of these families.

Elisabeth Hansdotter was married in 1698 to Anders Ohlsson of Biorcka (family #271). It appears that Anders Ohlsson was the brother of Margareta Ohlsdotter above.

The next family group sheet is from pedigree chart #10. Nils Ersson of Fanthyttan was married to Secelia Ohlsdotter and they were the parents of at least four children (family #103). They are your 10th great grandparents.

On pedigree chart #11 you will see the family of Peder Eliasson and Anna Hansdotter (family #76). They were from Forbohyttan in Lindesberg and it appears that they had at least four daughters. The marriage record on the first of these lists her as Margreta Persdotter, but the birth/chr records on her children list her as Karin Persdotter. However, this appears to be the same person, married in 1692 to Lars Ersson (family #283) of Marshyttan.

Peder Eliasson was born in 1641, the son of Elias Ersson and Marit Bengtsdotter (family #105) of Forbohyttan. They are your 10th great grandparents. Based on the ages of the parents, there may have been other children, but I have not been able to locate records on these.

Johan Eliasson of Wasselhyttan is shown on pedigree chart #12. He was married about 1682 to Marit Larsdotter (family #86) and it appears that they had eight children. I have not yet been able to locate the birth/chr record of their son Erich, but he is shown in the clerical survey records.

Johan Eliasson was the son of Elias Joensson of Wasselhyttan. The marriage record on the last daughter, Cherstin Eliasdotter, gives her mother's full name as Gertrud Andersdotter (fam #184). The daughter was married in 1695 to Carl Carlsson of Wasselhyttan (family #243).

On pedigree chart #13 you will find the family of Hans Ersson and Ingeborg Ersdotter (family #87) of Wasselhyttan. They were married about 1675 and were the parents of fourteen children.

Erich Ersson and Anna Larsdotter (family #191) are shown on pedigree chart #15. They are your 9th great grandparents of Guldsmedshyttan. I have found record of three children. The last of these, Kerstin Ersdotter, was married in 1693 to Par Andersson of Aboda (family #308).

Next we go to pedigree chart #17 where you will find the family of Per Ersson and Ingrid Andersdotter of Granshyttan in Lindesberg (family #193). Here again, I was able to discover the name of the wife from the marriage record of the last child, Ingeborg Persdotter, who was married in 1693 to Johan Andersson (family #310). An older daughter, Margaretha Persdotter, was married in 1682 to Lars Larsson (family #276). The father, Per Ersson, was married secondly to the widow Anna Olofsdotter (family #262). The name of her first husband has not been determined (family #269).

I also located the death/bur record of Per Ersson, which shows that he was considerably older than had previously been estimated. Therefore, I have had to revise information on his father's family (family #242). I had previously thought that I knew the names of some of the sibblings of Per Ersson, but his age makes that very unlikely, as they would be too young. So the families of previously listed other children in this family should be thrown away. Those family group numbers have been reassigned to other families. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Nils Jakobsson and his wife Cherstin Hansdotter (family #188) are shown on pedigree chart #18. You have a copy of this sheet. However, there is enclosed an updated sheet on one of the children in this family. Peder Nilsson was married in 1686 to Brita Larsdotter (family #189).

That covers the research which I have done for you this period. Enclosed is your disk of this report, which I hope will work properly this time. I hope you and your family are well. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely yours,

Linda K. Larson
