Dear Mr. Mower,
I looked into the parents of Erich Andersson further. The birth record does indeed state that the mother was Catharine Jansdotter, but all other information indicates that his mother was Anna Hansdotter. Anna was shown as a widow in the 1806-1815 clerical survey of Forneboda in the same household as Erich, but is also shown as his mother and the wife of Anders Persson in the 1775-1785 clerical survey. She married Anders in 1764 in Lindesberg and is shown as the mother of Erich's older sisters Anna and Maria in their birth records, so Erich' birth record must be an error.
Research was continued on the family of Erich Andersson and Anna Larsdotter. The death of their daughter Catharina was located in Lindesberg on November 10, 1895. Their son Eric died May 23, 1886 in the neighboring parish of Nora. I have not been able to locate anything further on their son Lars Ersson. He was not identified in the 1880 or 1890 Swedish Census, nor did he appear in the Lindesberg marriage records from 1842 to 1857.
At this point research turned to the family of Per Ersson. I searched Lindesberg births both online and in the film versions, but have found no record of the births of Carl Fredric, Gustaf, or Anders Persson. Their birth dates are derived from clerical surveys. Per's eldest child, Anna Lovisa, married Per Jansson Wiberg in 1859 in Lindesberg and remained in this parish until her death in 1910. Per's son Carl Fredric married Anna Lovisa Andersdotter in the parish of Ervalla but returned to Lindesberg where he died in 1892. Johanna Persdotter married Peter Andersson in the parish of Nora and where she died in 1923. Gustaf Persson married Susanna Wilhelmina Bergstrom in Nora in 1860, but after her death married Maria Matilda Karlsdotter in Nora in 1877. Gustaf died in the parish of Fellingsbro in 1921. Anders Persson married Anna Kristina Ersdotter in 1871 in Nora and died in 1928 in Hyltinge, Södermanland County. Lars Persson married Karolina Frodin in Nora in 1864 and shortly thereafter took on the surname of Frodin. He died as Lars Frodin in the parish of Ramsberg in 1921.
Per Ersson's son Johan Persson married Charlotte Amalia Lofstedt on September 29, 1861 in Nora. Charlotte was born in Nora on February 1, 1842, a twin illegitimate child of Brita Cathrina Andersdotter. Brita married Johan Eric Andersson on June 22, 1843. Johan and Charlotte were the parents of nine children and resided in the parish of Lindesberg after a short stay in Nora. Johan Persson died 2 July 1903, after which Charlotte moved for a time to Nora, but returned to Lindesberg where she died March 3, 1925. Their daughter Augusta Wilhelmina Jansson was born in Nora in 1861 and married Carl Johan Ramstadt in Lindesberg in 1887. She was located in the 1900 Census of Torsåker, Södermanlands, but still needs to be traced in the Torsåker clerical surveys to identify her death date. Anders Johansson was born in Lindesberg in 1863. He was still single and residing in the city of Lindesberg for the 1914-1924 clerical survey. Deaths after 1924 still need to be searched for Anders Johansson. Hilda Selina Johansdotter was born in 1869 in Lindesberg and was last located in this parish's clerical survey of 1902-1910. Movings and additional clerical surveys should be searched for Hilda. Mathilda Johansdotter was born in 1872 and died in 1876 in Lindesberg. Anna Elfrida Johansdotter was born in 1874 in Lindesberg and married Carl Arvid Pettersson in this parish in 1914. Clerical surveys of Lindesberg should be searched for Anna and her husband. Mathilda Charlotta Johansdotter was born in Lindesberg in 1877 and married Klas Henning Lundberg in Bärbo, Södermanland County in 1902. She died February 4, 1970 in Katrineholms, Södermanland County. Johan Wilhelm Johansson was born in 1882 in Lindesberg and was residing there for the 1902 to 1910 clerical survey. Further surveys should be consulted to determine his marriage and death. Ernst Gustaf Johansson was born in 1886 in Lindesberg. He married Hulda Viktoria Andersdotter in 1918 and died in 1976 in Lindesberg parish.
Johan and Charlotte's son Carl Erik Johansson was born in 1866 in Lindesberg and married Anna Sofia Larsdotter in the parish of Ervalla in 1888. Anna Sofia was born in 1858 in the parish of Axberg. Preliminary research shows that this couple were the parents of five children who were born in the parishes of Ervalla in Örebro County and Arboga in Västmanland County, namely Ester Amalia in 1889, Erik in 1890, Carl Daniel in 1892, Axel Emanuel in 1894, and Ernst Josef in 1895. Additional clerical surveys are required for this family, as are death records for the parents and marriage and death records for the children.
Sincerely,
Susan Glenn, AG
