Della Butler Mower

1912 ~ 2003

On Saturday, October 11, 2003, Mom had a joyous reunion with Dad and Lamar.

She was born February 22, 1912 in Spring Lake, Utah, a daughter of David and Zina Menlove Butler. She married R. Elmer Mower June 27, 1934 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized June 8, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death June 2, 2003.

Della attended Payson schools, graduating from Payson High School. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities including Primary Teacher, Visiting Teacher, Laurel Teacher, MIA President, Relief Society President, and as a temple worker for 15 years. She was an original daughter of a Utah pioneer. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include daughters and son, Della Mae Nelson, Murray, Jim B (ShinJa) Mower, Mary M. Miller, all of Spring Lake; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Donna Mower, Altamont. She was preceded in death by a son, H. Lamar Mower; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Services will be Wed. 11 a.m. Spring Lake 2nd Ward, 12625 S. Spring Lake Rd. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 W, Payson, Tues. 6-8 p.m. or at the church Wed. 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
